Important Insurance Facts You Should Know:

Your insurance company wants your vehicle repaired properly and you to be satisfied with their claim service.  You have specific rights and obligations of which you should be aware.  Review your policy and understand your rights.
If an agreement can't be reached between the repair shop and the insurance company, your policy has an "Appraisal Clause" that says an independent appraiser can be called in to help resolve the matter.
You ARE NOT required by law to get more than one estimate.
You may have the shop of your choice make the repairs - you are NOT required to use a shop selected by a claims adjuster.  You are, however, required by your policy to allow your insurance company a reasonable amount of time to inspect the damages prior to having them repaired.
Only you, the owner, can authorize repairs to your vehicle.
Repair estimate vary, sometimes by a lot.  A lower estimate may not include necessary things such as front or rear wheel alignments, aiming headlamps, removing necessary trim, etc.  It is your car, make sure it is repaired to your satisfaction.
The vehicle is being repaired for YOU, the owner.   You will be required to pay for the repairs upon completion.  To avoid delays, it will be up to you to secure payment from your insurance company along with any endorsements from lienholders.

DeGrazia's Auto Body pledges to help in any way we can with these matters to minimize your inconvenience as well as maximize your satisfaction.
